Bonnie is no stranger to rural communications. A third generation Montanan, she grew up on a central Montana ranch where she experienced firsthand the importance of rural telecom providers to rural consumers.

Bonnie graduated from Carroll College-Montana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with studies in English, Spanish, Education, and Business.

She has extensive public sector experience in education and public policy. She worked within the regulatory arena of the MT Public Service Commission for over 20 years. Most recently, she was a staff policy advisor to the Commission.

Bonnie also managed the state universal broadband access program and was the Commission’s liaison with the state’s education, library, and health care communities. She was active with NARUC activities and staffed the FCC-State 706 Joint Conference on the Deployment of Advanced Telecommunications Services. Bonnie was on the faculty of the Regulatory Basics School hosted by the Regulatory Studies Program of New Mexico State University.

Bonnie moved to private industry with MITS in 2001. She is currently the general manager of the association.

On a personal note, Bonnie has three grown daughters and five growing grandchildren.
